
The following guide will teach you how to migrate your game server and data from Fragnet to Citadel Servers.
Step 1: Create a Backup Through Fragnet
Before beginning your migration, create a backup of your server through the Fragnet control panel.
Maintaining a backup provides a recovery point if any files need to be restored during or after the migration process.
Step 2: Download Your Server Files
Access your Fragnet File Manager or FTP credentials and download all server files you wish to transfer.
We recommend downloading:
• World saves
• Maps and custom worlds
• Player data and permissions
• Mods and workshop content
• Plugins and plugin configurations
• Configuration files
• Custom scripts and server content
Save all downloaded files to your local computer before proceeding.
Step 3: Upload Files to Citadel Servers
Connect to your Citadel Servers service using FTP or the Game Panel File Manager.
Upload all downloaded files into the corresponding directories on your Citadel Servers service.
FTP is recommended for larger transfers and servers containing extensive custom content.

Step 4: Verify Server Configuration
Before starting your server, verify that:
• The correct game version is installed
• Mods, plugins, and workshop content were uploaded successfully
• Configuration files transferred correctly
• Startup parameters match your previous setup
• Administrative permissions are configured properly
Step 5: Start and Test Your Server
Start your Citadel Servers service and verify that the migration completed successfully.
• Worlds load correctly
• Player data is present
• Mods and plugins function properly
• Players can connect successfully
Alternative Method: Upload a Backup Archive
If you created a backup archive through Fragnet, you may upload the archive directly through the Citadel Servers File Manager.
Once uploaded, extract the archive and place the files into the correct server directories.
Common Migration Issues
Missing World or Save Data
Verify that all save files, player data, and world folders were transferred successfully.
Mods or Plugins Not Loading
Ensure all required files, dependencies, and configuration files were uploaded completely.
Server Startup Errors
Review your startup logs and verify that all necessary files and settings were migrated correctly.
