The following guide will teach you how to migrate your game server and data from Apex Hosting to Citadel Servers.
Migrating from Apex Hosting to Citadel Servers
Step 1: Create a Backup in Apex Hosting
Log in to your Apex Hosting control panel and create a backup using the Backup Manager. While optional, creating a backup provides an additional recovery point before transferring your server.
Step 2: Download Your Server Files
Apex Hosting provides access to your files through both the File Manager and FTP.
Download any files you wish to transfer, including:
• World saves
• Maps
• Plugins
• Mods and modpacks
• Configuration files
• Custom server content
Save all files to your local computer before continuing.
Step 3: Upload Files to Citadel Servers
Connect to your Citadel Servers service using FTP or the Game Panel File Manager.
Upload the files downloaded from Apex Hosting into the appropriate directories on your Citadel Servers service.
For large worlds and modded servers, FTP is the recommended transfer method.
You can follow our FTP setup guide here: FTP Guide
Step 4: Verify Server Configuration
Before starting your server, verify the following:
• Correct game version installed
• Required plugins or mods uploaded
• Startup parameters configured correctly
• Server settings transferred successfully
Step 5: Start and Test Your Server
Start your Citadel Servers service and verify that:
• Worlds load correctly
• Mods and plugins function properly
• Players can connect successfully
• All server settings are working as expected

World Not Loading
Ensure the world folder was uploaded completely and is located in the correct directory.
